Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed strong admiration for actor Allu Arjun, stating that the Telugu film industry should now aim for global recognition rather than limiting itself to domestic success. The remarks were made during the inauguration of Allu Cinemas, a new theatre complex associated with the actor’s family in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted how the success of the Telugu film industry demonstrates that talent has become the most important factor in modern cinema.
He noted that regional boundaries in filmmaking are gradually fading, allowing artists and stories from different industries to gain nationwide and international attention.
Allu Arjun Encouraged to Aim for Hollywood
During his address, Revanth Reddy specifically spoke about Allu Arjun’s growing popularity and influence. He said the actor has already achieved massive recognition across India and should now consider expanding his reach to international cinema.
According to the Chief Minister, the actor has the potential to represent Telugu cinema on a global stage.
He remarked that in the future, Allu Arjun should not only continue succeeding in pan-India projects but also explore opportunities in Hollywood.
Reddy said that the talent of Telugu actors deserves to be showcased globally and should reach audiences beyond India.
He also reflected on how the industry has evolved over the years. Earlier, Telugu films were often compared with Bollywood mainly in terms of box office collections. Now, he believes the industry should aim much higher and compete internationally.
Language Barriers in Cinema Are Fading
The Chief Minister also spoke about the changing dynamics of the film industry, noting that language barriers have largely disappeared in the era of digital distribution and pan-India releases.
He said that audiences today are open to watching films from different languages, making talent the defining factor behind a film’s success.
According to him, actors, filmmakers and technicians are no longer restricted by regional boundaries.
With audiences consuming content from across the country and the world, the film industry has become far more interconnected than before.
Reddy said that this shift presents an opportunity for Telugu cinema to aim for international recognition.
He suggested that instead of competing only with neighbouring film industries or Bollywood, the Telugu film sector should now aspire to match global standards.
Vision for Telugu Cinema on the Global Stage
The Chief Minister’s remarks reflected a broader vision for the growth of the Telugu film industry. He noted that the industry has already achieved remarkable success in recent years, producing several films that have attracted nationwide attention.
He believes the next step should be expanding the industry’s presence internationally.
According to Reddy, the creativity, storytelling and talent present in Telugu cinema have the potential to compete with films produced in major global industries.
He expressed confidence that actors like Allu Arjun could play a role in bringing international visibility to the industry.
Government Support for the Film Industry
Along with praising the actor, Revanth Reddy also assured that the Telangana government is committed to supporting the film industry.
He said the government wants cinema to become an important contributor to the state’s growth and cultural identity.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the administration would continue encouraging investments in film production, exhibition and related infrastructure.
He also acknowledged the role played by film personalities in strengthening the industry and attracting audiences to theatres.
Allu Cinemas Inaugurated in Hyderabad
The event where these remarks were made marked the inauguration of Allu Cinemas, a new theatre complex linked to Allu Arjun’s family.
Reddy praised the initiative and described it as a valuable addition to the cinema exhibition sector. According to him, such projects help strengthen the theatrical experience and contribute to the growth of the entertainment ecosystem.
He congratulated Allu Arjun and his family for investing in theatre infrastructure and supporting the expansion of cinema culture in the region.
As the Telugu film industry continues to gain prominence both nationally and internationally, the Chief Minister’s comments highlighted the growing ambition to position it as a global force in filmmaking.
