Well, the wait for the next chapter of the live-action pirate saga is over. One Piece (Netflix live-action series) Season 2 debuts with additional larger-than-life adventures, characters and battles as Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew forge on their quest along the Grand Line.
One Piece Season 2 release date and time in India
Now fans of the popular live-action version can finally save the date. Release Date: One Piece Season 2 is planning to release worldwide on Netflix on March 10, 2026.
In India, the whole season drops at 12:31 p.m. IST. The release is timed with the global launch time of 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time so that fans in every corner of the world can watch the new episodes at the same instant.
Whereas many contemporary streaming releases are doled out weekly, Netflix opted to release all eight episodes of the new season in one fell swoop. That means they’re free to binge on the entire story in a single sitting, should they wish.
The second season totals about 481 minutes of screen time. Within these episodes of story, we are also checking off iconic locations from the original manga on the list such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain and Whiskey Peak and Little Garden.
The release date was first announced via a promotional video posted to Netflix’s Tudum platform. Iñaki Godoy, who plays Monkey D. Luffy, personally announced the premiere date to fans.
In the video, the actor exuberantly announced that the long-awaited second season would be released March 10, 2026.

Episode listing and total runtime
There are eight episodes in Season 2, each nearly an hour long. This extended runtime gives the story the time to explore several arcs from the original manga drawn up by Eiichiro Oda.

What goes down in One Piece Season 2
The second season follows the straw hat crew, commanded by the optimistic pirate captain Monkey D. Luffy.
The lead cast is back, with Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as the swordsman Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as navigator Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji.
The crew is still searching for the legendary treasure known as “One Piece,” a prize left behind by the pirate king Gol D. Roger.
This season left the story with a venture in toward the Grand Line, a perilous ocean path rife with unpredictable weather patterns, mysterious key-islands and dangerous foes.
With the Straw Hat crew venturing into this new area, they face fresh allies as well as strong enemies associated with the notorious criminal group Baroque Works.
Characters joining the storyline
With Season 2 also comes the introduction of some significant One Piece characters.
Charithra Chandran is part of the cast and she plays Miss Wednesday, who is a mysterious character whose story will ultimately play a central role in the forthcoming arcs.
Joe Manganiello plays Mr. 0, or Crocodile, one of the most potent villains on the show.
The veteran actress Katey Sagal also signs up for the show, playing Dr. Kureha (a legendary physician who plays a significant role in Drum Island arc).
Also introduced this season, another fan-favorite One Piece character, Tony Tony Chopper, the lovable reindeer doctor on-board the Straw Hat ship. The character is voiced and portrayed by Mikaela Hoover.
These entries serve to flesh out the universe of the live-action adaptation and bring several fan-favorite characters from the original manga to life.

It became one of the most successful anime adaptations created for streaming platforms.
