Tiger Shroff is gearing up for an all-new kind of action role in his next film Vajra The actor is gearing up in full swing for the project that has been helmed by Ram Madhvani and produced by Mahaveer Jain. As of March 7, 2026 the film is entering its pre-production process with a significant amount of the shoot set in Japan.
In contrast to the action-heavy films that are Tiger’s trademark, Vajra is in development as a spiritual action thriller melding martial arts traditions with an emotionally driven narrative.

We’ve also come to know that a chunk of Vajra will be shot in Japan and the action scenes of the film have been inspired by traditional Japanese martial arts.
Kenjutsu — the classical sword-fighting style associated with samurai warriors — is one of several key combat styles that moviegoers are expected to see on screen in the film. Beyond kenjutsu, the action choreography might also draw from karate and judo, ensuring that the film remains grounded in Japan’s martial arts heritage.
Early plans suggest that close 60 percent of the film will be shot in Japan and some portions also in Mumbai.
A multi-city schedule to shoot in Japan is being planned by production members. Phase 1Open and schedules will be held in Tokyo first, while schedules are being planned in Kyoto and Okinawa.
As the sources close to the project revealed that Tiger Shroff will be seen since many new avatars in the film.

Ram Madhvani directs Vajra, and Mahaveer Jain produces it. The film is in the works as a big-budget spiritual action thriller that will merge familiar martial arts narrative tropes with dramatic emotion.
The use of Japanese locations suggests that the makers aimed to closely entwine cultural traditions and martial arts philosophies into the plot, even though they have kept any details about it under wraps.
The film is likely to have gone on floors in the Q2 of 2026.

In the past few years, action has become a big part of Tiger Shroff’s persona. Apart from Pathaan, his other recent releases include Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024) followed by the film streamed on Netflix since June 6, 2024 and Ganapath (2023).
Prior to that, he appeared in Heropanti 2 (2022).
The actor will also be returning to the franchise space with Baaghi 4, that is directed by A. Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It also has a scheduled theatrical release date of September 5, 2025.
